Getting started

The Edexcel GCSE Astronomy course is split into 5 topics, Planet Earth, The Moon and the Sun, The Solar System, Stars and Galaxies, Observing Techniques and Space Exploration.  The table which is found on the Astronomy home page or below contains links to the materials for your studies.

Each topic link will take you to a separate page where you will be able to access the e-textbook which covers the specification and additional resources to support you, such as worksheets, wordsearches, games etc. The e-textbook is found at www.starlearner.com but it is probably easier to follow the links to take you to the appropriate page.  You will need to log into starlearner to access the textbook. The user name and password for this will be e-mailed to you.

In addition, the table below also contains links to information about coursework and Edexcel documentation such as the specification and past papers.  You can also find a student progress sheet which you may find helpful.
