History: Turning Points
Turning Points:
We often have to made decisions in history about how significant or important an event in the past has been. To help us do this we look to see if any changes have taken place after the event. For example:
William Duke of Normandy winning the Battle of Hastings.
This was a turning point in English history because life after the battle changed in many ways. England had a new French King who had a very different way of ruling the country compared to the King before him.
You are to choose one event from the options provided and investigate the importance of it and how it affected life in England afterwards.
All pupils should attempt V2, unless your teacher tells you to try V1.
