Absence Reporting

Please contact school daily to report absences: Telephone 01704 565121 option 1 or email absence@christtheking-school.com  before 08:30 daily

Please state the student’s name, reason for absence, expected return date/day.

Absences longer than 3 days require medical evidence, this can be a prescription, appointment card, hospital letters etc, this ensures the absence can be authorised.

Bullying or Concerns?

Contact your child’s Head of Year or Form Tutor for support and help.

If your child is refusing school or avoiding a subject contact school for support do not make excuses the longer they are off the harder it is to return.

Partnership with Parents 2024

Attendance below 90% is persistent absence and reported to Sefton.

By selecting Christ the King you become part of our school community, staying off means your child misses out on rewards and activities. Christ the King School will refer to the local authority for monitoring period and fines.

CTK Attendance 2024

It is a legal requirement for your child to attend school.

Parents have been given prison sentences for continually failing to send their child/children to school.

Prolonged absence from school can lead to loneliness, isolation, children not attaining their potential and low mood in your child.

Pastoral Care 2024

Holidays are not permitted in term time.

Christ the King School will issue a fine for holidays in term time, if you wish to make an application of exceptional circumstances this must be made in writing to the Headteacher.
