The CTK6 Careers programme

The CTK6 Careers programme is comprehensive and designed to meet the needs of our cohort. We aim to develop the programme yearly in order to ensure that CTK6 students are kept up to date with the latest developments and opportunities.

As part of our Career’s programme we offer students individual advice on career opportunities that would be suitable for them. UCAS advice is tailored around the needs and aspirations of what our students would like to do in the future. Our programme includes:


  • An informed transition into Year 12

  • A bespoke Sixth form Mentoring programme

  • A full week of career’s advice including opportunities to meet professionals and engage in interview practice.

  • A week of Work Experience in which students can select placements that interest them

  • Knowledgeable staff able to give advice on future career opportunities.

  • A full UCAS programme including provision for early entry to Oxbridge and Medical qualifications.

Mrs Smith, our Independent Careers Advisor is available to give advice and guidance regarding career opportunities, improving employability, training and apprenticeships as well as further education course information in order to assist you to make these important decisions. Advice regarding UCAS and all other university information is delivered by external agencies, personal tutors, Ms Cunningham (Director Sixth Form) and Mr Lawson (Assistant Director of Sixth Form). Students receive 1-1 support with personal statements and completing their UCAS, apprenticeship and employment applications. Further information and guidance can be found on our CTK6 UCAS tab or at www.ucas.com as well as Unifrog. All CTK6 students have full access to Unifrog, the platform. We bring all the available information into one single, impartial, user-friendly platform that helps students to make the best choices, and submit the strongest applications.

Our School Alumni have consistently gone on to successful Higher Education courses at Russell


Group Universities and other well regarded institutions and consequently led successful careers in


the Law, Medicine, Teaching, Academia, the Media, and other professions. We are also proud to have


guided students towards places at Oxford University and continue to work with St Peter’s College,


Oxford to that end.
